CFC RESPONSE TO THE CORONAVIRUS

We know that the Coronavirus (COVID 19) has become a worldwide concern and is on the top of everyone’s mind.  We have continued to monitor the situation closely and have prayerfully decided to postpone all weekend services, events, and small groups until further notice.  We will stream our service live online at its usual time of 10:00am on Sunday morning.

We have not made this decision out of fear.  Rather, we are being proactive in protecting the most vulnerable members of our congregation and community and doing what we can to slow down the spread of COVID 19.  We are following the recommendations of our national, state and local government agencies, as well as health care professionals in our church.

We encourage you to continue exercising precautions provided by those who are knowledgeable in the spread of disease:

•Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

•Stay home when you are sick.

•Cover your coughs/sneezes with tissue or arm.

•Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

•If no soap and water is available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

As followers of Jesus, we choose love over fear –“Perfect love drives out fear.” (I John 4:18)and “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”(II Timothy 1:7).

We pray for those who have already been affected, their families, caregivers, and medical professionals working tirelessly to respond. We exercise caution so we can continue to represent Jesus and share the gospel with compassion and care.
